On the territory of the Tatra National Park and Pieniny National Park and their buffer zone, the State Forests of TANAP care for the forest land resources owned by the state as well as rented land, for small streams and tarns, animals, entrusted fauna and flora gene pool in order to preserve the biodiversity of the local natural environment. By means of the Centre of cross-country services they also provide maintenance and marking of more than 600 km of tourist paths. And in form of posters, signposts and information boards they create and care for the tourist information net on the territory of both national parks.
